Program Edvard Grieg, Two Nordic Melodies Arvo Part, Fratres John Cage, 4'33" Joseph Boy, Adagio Richard Wagner, Wesendonck Lieder Samuel Barber, Adagio Dora Pejacevic, Verwandlung Hugo Wolf, Italian Serenade Ottorino Respighi, Il Tramonto Renowned chamber music ensemble OXALYS with a unique, sophisticated repertoire plays the concert 'Stilte'.

The program is based on the theme SILENCE with works by Grieg, Pärt, Cage, Jongen, Huybregts, Barber (the Adagio), Pejacevic and Respighi. Largely the (unknown) romantic melodic repertoire, with a special trip to Cage's world famous "4'33".

That piece from 1953 turned the world upside down! John Cage gave chance a place in his music and he also thought that ambient sounds were music. The silence of the piece makes you as a listener pay attention to other sounds…
